Lemon Tort: (noticing Lime Tart frantically scribbling on a chalkboard) ?
Lemon Tort: Hey, Tart. What’re you doing?
Lime Tart: (erasing) I’m trying to solve this mathematical equation, but I can’t figure it out!
Lemon Tort: (reading the chalkboard) Oh, that one. Yeah, it is pretty hard. What have you got so far? Maybe I can help?
Lime Tart: (writing) Well, I’ve measured every angle and calculated their value. Then substituted this with X and this with Y.
Lemon Tort: (picking up chalk) I see, but that means we can’t use Y for any negative number.
Lime Tart: I know, but that’s pretty normal for this formula.
Lemon Tort: (writing) So X equals the degree of the first angle and Y is at least twice the value of X.
Lime Tart: Yes, and the total is 176.67 and Z is unknown.
(2 hours later)
Lemon Tort: So, the logarithm didn’t work, but now we know Z = X - 17 + Y^2
Lime Tart: But this corner is not part of the equation! What was the lowest value we got so far again?
Lemon Tort: 26.
Lime Tart: Ugh! Too high for X!
Lemon Tort: Wait! But that means X is half the value of the sum of both corners! And X = Z + 17 - Y^2, so-
Lime Tart: Y-You’re right! And Y can’t be negative so it has to be above 0! 26 is too high for X, but…
Lime Tart: 26 + 23 = 49… so… 7!
Lemon Tort: That’s 17 + 39, 56… And Y and Z… 13… 66… 49…
Lime Tart: So 7 and 49. Which means 49 - Z = 34!
Lemon Tort: So then-
Lime Tart: Z equals-
Lemon Tort and Lime Tart: 15!
Lemon Tort and Lime Tart:
Lemon Tort and Lime Tart: (blushing, staring into each other’s eyes, holding hands)
Raspberry Tart: …Okay, I know I’m not an expert on math or romance, but seriously, someberry please explain to me what the whipped cream just happened here!
